First time using a pressure canner and did it with ease . Which was clearly stated on the outside of box I have no idea as to why it could not be used on glass top stove. After the first use I noticed a dark staining on the inside of the pot, but I'm sure that is due to our country water (hard water) and in no way affected the canner's performance.
