I pulled out the bin and cleaned out the ice shards on the bottom of the frame and bin but have not pushed the button but I will.
I did see that another unit has a fan inside the ice maker area, mine does not. Told me to defrost refrigerator for a couple of hours then recheck if ice maker works.

I took the unit apart and notice these waSamsung 4287HARS ICEMAKER NOT WORKING MAKES PERIODIC WHIRRING SOUND Hi, I have a Samsung fridge with ice maker and the icemaker just stopped working yesterday.
I used a blow dryer on it to apply heat to the water line. I have replaced the ice maker with a new ice maker, I replaced the water inlet valve and filter yesterday.
It has what appears to be, an "air duct", styro lined, but I can't see where it originates from, or if there is in fact a booster fan to move freezer air up into the ice maker compartment.
I liked that I could ask additional questions and get answered in a very short turn around.
Not that familiar with the ice maker on this model but if the water is not freezing then the problem is that cold air is not getting to the ice maker. Turns off when closing freezer door. Does it take a lot of force?
And have tested the solenoid, (open by use of Jumper power). 93. The freezer keeps -2 and refer keeps 38, so both compartments are fine.
Went on vacation for 9 days.
