Seeing all the pieces together made me see how the sketches I’m in fit together with the rest of the show to form a really interesting cohesive play with a lot of important subjects to encourage the audience to think about. That way I learn to pair the words with my movements onstage and acting decisions. The first edition of the novel was published in 100, and was written by Plutarch. Well, I have them now!

I run lines with my scene partner Jacqui all the time. Today we go in to rehearsal for “Annette and Gina”, “Three Sisters”, “God”, and “Supreme Beings”. PARALLEL LIVES is a tour de force for both Vonnie and Lisa. Beyond that, I write my lines by hand in a bright color, trying to write from memory, or I type them in red on a computer and go back and put the parts I messed up and had to correct in bold. The monologue was COMPLETELY transformed in to an even more heart-wrenching piece than it already was. My crew kept telling me how people just kept coming in! !During the rehearsal of Clinic Shooting (a monologue performed by Jacquis Sommerman) we found that we were still struggling to find the character, Betsy. So that means that for each area there are at least 3 lights (ultimately it’s up to the light designer how many lights hit each area), so 3 times 15 is 45 lights. The hardest part will be running all of the cables to hook them up correctly in to the light board so that the light cues can be written. They seem to really like Emma Garelick, one seems to land on her every time she gets on the stage. But on the bright side, with every light that gets hung, the closer we are to putting our show on the stage for you all to see!! Blogging will resume no later than Sunday.Last night at rehearsal we had our first work through where the actors were able to sit in the audience and watch the pieces that they were not participating in. At the end of the rehearsal I asked for comments from the actors about that nights rehearsal for you guys to read. It was so amazing to hear the laughter to a piece so close to my heart! Tonight is our last dress rehearsal before we open tomorrow at 4:30pm! Granted, we don’t have anywhere NEAR 135 lights; we only have 6 acting areas with three lights per area and then 2 acting areas with one light per area.
